Galaxy Z Fold 3 firmware development has begun
Since Samsung won’t be launching a new Galaxy Note handset this year, all eyes are on the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It will also be accompanied by a new clamshell foldable which will likely be called the Galaxy Z Flip 2.
We have previously revealed that the new Galaxy Z Fold handset bears model number SM-F926. It will come with at least 256GB of storage. Android 11 will obviously be present alongside One UI 3.5.
This will be a new iteration of Samsung’s custom Android skin. There will likely be some new features that get introduced with One UI 3.5. We hear that the firmware for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is now in development. This gives Samsung plenty of time to make any changes if need be before the handset is due to be unveiled.
If history is any indication, it’s possible that Samsung will target the August/September timeframe for the handset’s launch. We can expect more details about the new foldable to emerge till then.
